Just wondering if anyone has an inside scoop on whether there's something in the works in a similar vein to the DWP foils (released about 18 months ago)? Or a faster HA line? I'd like something with earlier takeoff than the 930 but faster and more glide than the 1180/1080 (perhaps another way of saying I miss the amazing forward projection of the 930 when I ride the 1180).

Any hints? Prototypes spotted off the coast?

I'm on the verge of ponying up for a new performance mast. Can any insider confirm or disconfirm that any new foils will work with the current mast and fuse? I've no reason to suspect otherwise, and I've been very happy with the performance mast A+ fuse, just cautious before dropping coin in case there's a further upgrade on the way.

Yep. They are long overdue a revamped DWP foil. There have been a few proto downwind race foils floating around Oz. Doubt they will ever make it to production until an Armstrong rider wins M20. It is all about the riders fitness and not the foil these days. Every brand has levelled up and going equally as fast. I want something in the 750-800cm2 range. Have used the current 755 and 930 and they are super gliders and fast but lack a bit of ease of use compared to HAv2 line or the other brands like Code.

man i didn't know you are still on the A plus mast!! Damn you are doing well then with the span of the 930/1180!! The performance mast will make a significant change / improvement for those foils. Night and day.

As Piros said there is quite a lot of things in the works from what i've heard.

Ah, could have worded it more clearly. I've been on the 935 performance for ages. A+ was referring to the fuse. 935 is a perfect kite mast but a bit long now that I'm into the parawing action.

So, it seems new front wings are on the way for sure, but any insight into whether masts and fuses are staying the same (for now)?

And Eppo, the 930 is going well. I love it in the right conditions but my biggest para is 2.9, so sometimes there's decent bumps but not enough wind to get up. By contrast the 1180 is super easy to get up on, and I'm learning to squeeze more pump from it, but the 930 just turns leg energy into forward speed so much better .

ah right . you mainly wing and para right? Probably the 865 is the go. Ever gonna paddle then get the 795.

No info i've heard on any change to mast / fuse setup. Are their better mast fuse setups now - arguable yes but credit to armstrong that you can use any foil / tail from day one of their first production foil. It works - we do literally hundreds of hours on these setups without any issues.

The tails and shims do work best and sit better on the A plus fuse must admit. But it's not crucial - does help to really narrow down what tail with what shim with what front foil for water and wind conditions.

Yeh i'm tempted to get an 1180 - biggest i have is the 980 and whilst it does the job 95 percent of the time as the season draws to a close - i'm working damn hard on the DW runs in the weaker conditions.

Never winged. But I'm all in on para. Yeah looking at 865 and another 50 fuse. I just like the responsiveness over the 60.

I ride the 120 dart with everything from 1180 to ma625. Blue shim for para, red for kite.

that's right you kite . Yeh 120 perfect for that. Great tail hey and yeh for kiting 50 is also a good choice. 55cm be ideal I know the armie team riders are using the 865 for just about everything - including prone, wing and DW.
