Yeah the Lift Efoil is 12k US + extra battery apx another 1k US that's around 20k Aus landed plus I don't know how they will airfrieght such high capacity batteries. The Flite Board is from a guy in Byron and they start at around 12k Aus so big difference. The Efoil is very close to production and seems to be a bit quicker and rides flatter , having said that Flite board is advancing very fast and will bridge that gap.

We have upto 25 people working on the project and our design and engineering is nearly complete. We have developed some great innovations along the way and look forward to showing them all off in detail in a few months when we launch. Speed is determined by wings more than anything else. If you want to get stuck into tight turns like a surf foil you want larger wings which are slower (but easier to learn on) and smaller wings are faster but stall easier at slow speed. We will have two options. I've been close to 40kph but not at full throttle yet - so plenty of power. We are really proud of our hand controller which has some awesome features and our unibody powered foil system which has taken a lot of engineering and testing. It is certainly a premium product - custom designed 2.2kw smart battery, high end materials etc. that being said we are working hard to try and reduce costs to make eFoils more accessible!

Hey admin, once people start selling their cars to afford one of these, THEN can we have a new forum for foils?

Would an efoil be a good way to learn to foil? Foiling schools with efoils? These price points for an individual are prohibitive.

Falling off would be a big issue.....with a leash or no leash.
They would be a nightmare in the wrong hands to those around them

Compared to a sup they are expensive (@ $12k), but I just checked jetski prices and they seem to be more expensive - and I know I would prefer an efoil to go by at a beach. Different beast I know, but if you want to go whizzing around on the water, an efoil is quieter and much closer to the surf experience.

Might just buy an electric skateboard.......................
