backstay adjuster replacement

hi sailors, i am looking for a backstay adjuster to replace my mechanical adjuster
boat is x-yacht 372 with 8mm stay
length 550-700mm with 10mm pins
has anybody got a decent one they would like to sell? or ideas where to source one new or used

Thanks r13.you certainly have been a wealth of information on my recent posts. I will go and see blue wave as it's only 10 klm up the road and I need to drive past there anyway tomorrow. Thanks so much R13

Thanks captainyanti, trust (am sure) bluewave can sort it. Without making a meal of it suggest you match the design load of the backstay adjuster with the design load of your 8mm backstay wire - whether what you have now or what you will have going forward after renewing the standing rigging. Hammapro 8mm wire is about 30% stronger than normal 1x19 stainless wire.

Finally suggest suitable maintenance is enacted on your threaded backstay adjuster to avoid thread galling which is an issue on all threads but especially stainless threads;

I have a Canon backstay adjuster for sale in reasonable nick. Works fine. My back stay 8mm wire. Cheers James
