So many questions this brings up.if there was an endless pot of money is every 'old' boat worthy of saving?.if not, which ones? Clearly there will be ones where there is a family or other connection, some are historically important for various reasons such as innovations, wins, surviving the odds, etc. So many questions.!

Just watched these and now subscribed. Pretty cool project. Good on him too, its good to see someone working with conviction and determination. I also hope he sees it through. I would think this is the easy part of the project though.

Doing a restoration he will get people giving donations and funding him. How much? Who knows?
Build a replica he will get no funding or donations.
So it could be a smart way to get a big boat for less expense.

They are an extremely nice boat, go very well and well mannered. I think one of Bill Lapworth's finest scribbles.
I've had this video sitting on my hard drive for years and never get tired of watching it.

Love the expressions as he contemplates the keel timbers. Ive had that look too, like, holy moly have I bitten too much! In his head would be a lot of money vs emotion.

Would be one of his best so far.

I really wish we could do more as a society to help stop plastic polution.
