i don't like filling the water tanks as today and previously I have forgot the filling process and its overflowed into the below sink area.

Nothing worse than dragging a hose down inside the galley sink And waiting for 900 litres to fill into the bilge tanks!

Lucky I could open the other tank to drain the 20 litres of water and my electric steamer was submerged! See how that goes next time I want corn cobs!

When I sit down to use the head on cold Tassie mornings the position of the bowl (offset) is such that my rh bum cheek sits up against the inner hull moulding and it is bloody cold

Neat arrangement and I agree with that in Tassie! Obviously you don't use your loo for number 2 in port...hope it's not a long walk to the club!

I dont like my pedestal and wheel which I have to climb around every time I want to do anything other than steer

The forward starboard corner of the cabin is boxed off for a "little room" for the toilet. I would much preferr the loo to be in the forepeak as I loose too much room in my cabin. Not enough time spent in there to warrent the loss of room. It's not the best pic but it gives an idea.

Funny story with filling water tanks

My mate decided to fill his water tanks at the marina and stuck a hose in the filler hole and turned it on

He got talking to another bloke at the marina and noticed that water was flowing out of a hull fitting and assumed it was the overflow for the tank so was not too concerned

Finally wandered back to the boat and found what was actually happening was the overflow or perhaps it was a breather for the tank was inside the cabin and he was filling his cabin with water and the auto bilge pump was pumping it out

I would route both of them it so it fits into the recess
You could trial your carbon fiber work might give you an extra insight when you make the board for the back of the boat south ace
might even save a bottle of Capt Morgan because your busy

Now you got me thinking! A carbon removable table top with a timber sandwich chopping board attached!

Ask your lovely wife to make a nice cover that can be clipped to the sides of the liner

Hi HG

I think that a square of suede contact film correctly positioned on the moulding would do the job

No idea why but when you sit down on a cold morning the liner is a lot colder than the seat is

I am a bit cranky with my self because I considered fitting a electric one but went with the manual because it had the same footprint as the original and it would use all the existing mounting holes but when I installed it I found the base extended further across than the original (shown in the photo below ) and I had notch out the starboard side of the liner to allow the base to fit anyway

next you will be suggesting that Donk un-clips the" nice covers" and takes them home when they need to be washed !!

Well if the yacht had tiller steering as S&S 34s are supposed to have they could both sit down and cuddle up.

so is mine even with out masts

1. Get rid of the particle board lining the last owner put in her and paint interior.

2. Fit nav lights, new sounder, electric dunny, LED cabin lights.

3. Rewire.

4. Drop mast, re rig, get rid of furler.

5. Get rid of teredo worms in rudder.

6. Bum scrub and antifoul.

7. Bring her up to required safety category for Brisbane to Gladstone race well before Easter next year.

Does not sound like much but there is plenty in it.
