Hi all

Wondering if anyone uses a Weber Baby Q on their boat (or on land) and what are their thoughts on it

Don, I like my Weber Q.. I have the middle one. I cook on it 3 times a week. I've cook some really nice meals on it but I do still conistantly ruin steak (I now cook it more BBQ style with the kid open).

Just be careful with it on the boat. Weber very clearly state it is not for marine use. Personally, if it's on a stable platform I can't see the issue. But you know what insurance companies are like if something ever goes wrong.

Hi Toph

Thanks for your thoughts

In the video about choosing a what Weber is right for you the say about using a Baby Q on a boat so perhaps it is the larger ones the do not want used on boats

Like you say it is hard to see why any of them wouldn't work on a boat if you had enough space available

There is some good info on another forum regarding Weber on boats, especially the piece by James off Pure Majek, regarding having to install an extra valve for compliance on the webber etc.

Hi Don
We use ours regularly on our boat when we are at anchor it is great. We just lash it in cabin top when underway. Would just recommend you keep your eye on fat tray that it doesn't get too full.

I just had a look at mine and there is that statement on it. I wonder if it has something to do with this pulled from the site linked above

word of warning, check with your Gas Man in your state, you may find you have to install an additional valve (the gas tilt thing).

I realize that doesn't mean much in its self, but there's obviously something in it. Maybe the smaller Qs have been designed with boat use in mind
