Bloody swim rings. There should be standards for those things.

If it floats better then me, especially after 36 hours, I wouldn't care what standard if was manufactured too

I don't think you can blame the swim ring, at a guess, can't swim so buys floaty device, "oh dear I seem to be getting further from the shore, what foul magic is at work here?".
