Question.
If grotty yotties call large cruisers (or small one for that matter) stink boats, what do the skippers of those boats call yotties?
I ask because I don't know.

gary

By the way i often see power boats blasting up Sydney Harbour with disregard for anything with a sail - I'd say "traffic".

Rosie on the slip getting beautiful for Bribie Island wooden boat regatta

Miller32 behind?

Correct and best ever built.
Gordon Rowe who owned Sportsman Craft power boats got his guys to build it using Clem's mould
Be only the second paint job since 1975, still fair.

I built the first 2 Cole23s for him around the same time at Sandgate. Yacht shop was across the road from the power shop.

I find it is best to just have a boat for all occasions. The power boat is my latest addition last Friday

Well done Jode5 for your boats for all occasions. For your Hanse 575 in the above photo appreciate if the standing rigging can be explained? In the photo the cap shrouds do not seem to be connected to the lower or upper spreaders - never seen this before sorry. Maybe they are being renewed and will be re-fitted soon? The H575 details on the web have the conventional 2 spreader swept back rig shown, with caps connecting to both spreader ends then to the hounds.

Hi r13. No they are connected to the caps, the wire is hard to see in the photo. It is a standard 7/8 triple spreader rig with caps and D1,D2 and D3's. The early 575's came out with a 2 spreader Z Spar rig and the latter boats came with the triple spreader Selden rig.

Looks like the powerboat will make a great edition to your collection mate. I noticed your yachts name is Jode7 and your username is Jode5. If you dont mind me asking, have you had a few boats called Jode or is it a coincidence?

All my boats that I have purchased new have carried the name Jo-De , so the mew boat is Jo-De 8. Any boat I purchase second hand keeps the existing name eg "Eyecatcher" my Young 11 and "Showdown" my Adams 10.The worst name I ever kept, was on an off the beach cat call "Skip to the Loo." The name Jo-De comes from my name and my wife John and Debra. May be we should start a new thread on interesting boat names.
