Spindrifts a 32foot sloop designed by Laurie Davidson and built by Marshall shipbuilders in New Zealand with four layer of Kauri pine and glassed over. No expense was spared in building this very strong and sea worthy vessel. I have had the privilege to partly restore this classic boat. Recent upgrades include C320 Profiler, Clears replaced, Jabsco toilet installed. Hydraulic backstay serviced, new house start and navigation batteries, Compass fitted, 9 inch Raymarine chartplotter plus two extra 170 wind instruments and a complete wireless system and marine radio.
It includes a fridge, diesel heater, a electric deck washing system, a fleming wind vane, gas burners and force10 oven, additional crystal lighting, oversize rigging, stainless steel anchor chain and stainless steel gas cylinder.
Unfortunately I am not using this boat as much as I should be so maybe its time for it to go?

While we are on the subject maybe I should sell mine as well, not getting any use, advertised on Yacht Hub if anyone is interested.

If I remember back a few years ago I think I saw you on your maiden voyage in spindrift from Pittwater towards Sydney.
Beautiful boat. Too good to sell. My suggestion is to get out there and sail it. You certainly won't regret sailing it more. You might regret selling it.

Sell it before it deteriorates and needs more to repair than what you can sell it for. The market for used boats is constantly dropping, with a few rare exceptions. Don't fall into the trap of keeping it because you can't sell it for what you think it is worth.

Yes - sell while still sailable !
Being back into a keelboat/mooring ,after a break of 30 years . You have to really use/value the experience,as the entire process is now set against you - mooring/insurance/slipping - unless you can afford Marina berth,with all maintenance outsourced .
Was only after the bare minimum,so can just go for a sail,but the pure pleasure is tainted by the complications !
Saddest thing is boats rotting away,that are never used/boarded + foreshore full of abandoned dinghys .
The lure of a captive market,supposedly prepared to pay for the privilege = law of unintended consequences .

Thanks for all your advice.
My son has a boat berthed at the CYCA which we are sailing tomorrow and I fortunately have other sailing opportunities to sail.
So after some reflection its time to let it go.
