Still considering the options. Surgery to both hands precludes sailing for 6 weeks so I have plenty of time to make a decision.

Ouch! hope that's not too painful and uncomfortable, did it go ok?
Getting someone trusted in to look over your system, make recommendations and do the install is a good way to go. You'll get the back up then too.
