Just refurbing my ravia (pretty much the same as the maxi) stove. Does anyone know what size/ material is used or would work as a wick?

The actual maxi replacement wicks don't seem to be available any more.

I've put a double length of pretty standard size cotton string which seems to work ok, but not perfectly.

The previous wick is now a small pile of ash like gunk - which is why I can't see what that was like
