Still looking for replacement of my worn out folding prop.
As the cos6of folding prop is little out of my pocket I am looking at fix blade prop.
My question is; previous prop was 15 X 9 which is not available anymore ( Volvo Penta MD7B ), is the 14 X 11 give similar outcome as 15 X 9 or 15 X 11 be ok ?
All of them two blade props.

This sounds almost worth a punt Kryspen? There's two of them and the measurement on one looks like 15".

Sorry it's only a picture, I couldn't work out how to link it. You might have to search on Facebook for the ad/seller. The location says Gladstone, so at least it's in the same state!
cheers,

Your MD7B is probably driving a 1" shaft. I would be investigating something like this.

It might be too much for a MD7B and rotate the wrong way but it would be my ideal propeller. I would not go from a folder to a fixed under any circumstance, What's wrong with your folder?

I have chat with Techni at the Volvo Penta about this.
Purchased 14 X 9 . He stated that 3 blade prop would require more engine power due to prop area. Quick on takeoff but not best for cruise.
He stated that 14 X 11 would be ok for cruise spead at less drag than 3 blade.
Cud also get folding prop but for the price of folding prop i cud get 2 fixed props.

I had a Gori 15 X 10 folding two blade prop on my S&S34 provided by Porters in Parramatta. It was the right prop for the boat. 1" shaft.
