Yes, Southy, we are interested.
I posted a link to John Harries ('Morgans Cloud' -Attainable Adventure Cruising - USA) a week ago. He is currently reviewing electric winch handles (E-wincher & Winchrite), and his first concern was the waterproofness of Powerarm. So pleased to hear your comments.

A couple of weeks ago 2 guys walked onto the boat next to us in the marina. One was carrying a big Makita battery grinder. 2 battery 36v one. I thought, this looks serious. One of them gets the bosuns chair out. Now I'm thinking this is really going to be interesting. As you've probably guessed by now he plugged the battery grinder into the winch and hoisted the guy up the rig!
It was a big primary winch on a 70 ish ft boat so must of had a pretty low gear. The guy still went up the rig pretty quick!
I was talking to them afterwards. They are riggers and made a fitting for a grinder. We are to old to hoist each other up the rig they said.

I can do that!!

I got myself one of these last xmas & really happy with it - it definitely has enough power!!

Not as light as SA's one but half the cost.
