These look like they might be useful around the boat. Has anyone tried one?

I was thinking it would be handy for scrubbing the bird poop off the deck with the hard brush, but could also be used for the underside (maybe?) with the soft brush. It has an IP67 waterproof rating, and says it can handle being submerged in 1m for 1 hr. My boat only draws 1.4m and would only take 20 mins with this thing.

Any thoughts?

I've got one for this exact purpose, although mine is the smaller handheld model, but has the same power head on it.
it's pretty good. Has plenty of torque but spins much slower than you would expect.
I have have both the medium and stiff bristle heads.
And I can confirm it does work fully submerged and Ryobi has excellent warranty if something was to go wrong.
I recommend it.

Picked up one today, if I can do half the scrub from up top it will be well worth it. Going to try a pool noodle near the head to push the brush onto the bottom of the hull.

+ at Big Green Shed - will check out tomorrow - anything better than getting in and under with soft hand brush,especially as it cools off - ? getting soft !

Years ago I was using my cordless ryobi leaf blower to clean the paving near the pool. I took a step in the wrong direction and ended up in the pool with the blower. After drying out it came back to life, but needed a new battery. The moral of this story is to make sure there is no water ingress in the battery housing on these things.
