I knew this would happen.

The compass cover (light black molded plastic) blew off and is now long gone.
The easiest thing is to just get a new one, but it will fly away too.
Any suggestions?

It is a Mini Contest compass.

Drill a hole in it to feed a bit of line through etc etc.

Round margarine containers make good back ups as compass covers. Use the margarine first.
