You are going to tie up between them, with a meter leeway forward & aft ? I have a bit to do with coming along side pilings and in my experience the vessel overlaps the piles , generally the type of vessels that use them have rubbing strakes to deal with the wear and tear. Also you can use fenders & boards but that's another issue. I digress if you have a sliding ring attached to the piling with a permanent line/s attached to pick up quick and drop over an onboard cleat / bollard
It should work but in that case there's no allowance for springers. Hope I'm overthinking it and it's really easy
Thanks Woko, there are no sliding rings but I have thought about making my own out of rope and floats. I too am going to work on the assumption that it really won't be that difficult. I know very little about the set up (what each pile has on it) but I am going to learn quickly. I sail Waitui up from Cairns on Thursday. I have one day on the yacht club pontoon and then on to the mooring.
