Martzcraft 35 Trek. I believe original design was Roberts 35. Built for survey in late 80's by previous owner Malcolm (dont know last name) of Wollongong. I keep his hat in chart table for good luck. Since these photos mast has been sand blasted back to aluminum which is much better than the cracked old paint, all rigging replaced and safety rails replaced. We quite easily get 6 knots and have briefly seen 8 - 9 surfing down a steep swell. Accidentally broached once surfing and could see fish through the windows but she came up. Love the stability and strength of the design.

Trek, she looks tough as nails too. She looks pretty sitting on her lines. How far over do you need to go to see fish through your cabin window????

My boat Corrib. Have only posted a couple of times and this is the only photo I have. I thought a Folkboat should be represented. Nice easy, relaxed sailing - though I don't have much sailing pedigree. Run it with an outboard. Here's a link (for anyone interested...the music's is good at least) to it winning the 2010 Fokboat Championship.

. By coincidence I met the current owner of Alicia (it came second) at my local cafe, and we have since become good friends.

Thanks, the music was great but I think you are being modest about the video, as a non-racer I found it interesting to watch and understand the manoeuvres. Perhaps there should be another forum topic with amateur racing footage of seabreeze boats?

It's been quite a few weeks since the last race which was the French Cup. Fusion's been out of action, but a few boat dollars later and the exhaust problems are all fixed, the new main halyard is run, and I am dreaming for the forecast to be completely wrong for the Surf to City this weekend.
I don't really care, I'm just glad to be going sailing

It is the latest German design from Poland.
Seen one in Scarborough. It looked the business for the ones who are into trailering !

Saw this lovely looking lady at Rivergate in Brisbane. With a name like that I'm wondering if this belongs to a certain Seabreezer?

My boat, just after she was hauled out, clean bottom and she was doing hull speed 7.7 in 11 knots apparent.

Ha!

Yes Shaggy, she used to mine. Good to see the new owner seems to be looking after her!
We sold NowandZen in May 2017 in Airlie Beach as we had to go back to WA, but we plan to head back east in a few years when we semi retire.

We just got back from sailing the Lipari Islands off Sicily with some friends of ours who are circumnavigating - what a great spot!

Showed glimpses of great performance racing down here in Tas, really impressive for a cruiser.... Does she still have the lift keel?

Hi Chris,
are you uploading from a phone or from your PC?
if it is a iphone;
-Take your photo.
-Bring it up on your screen to view. If you can, make sure the photo takes up the full screen.
-press the on/off button AND the Home button at the same time.
-This will take a new photo of whatever is displayed on your screen.
-You will hear it make a sound like a camera and the new photo will shrink down to a thumbnail in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.
-Touch the icon, and the photo will expand to full screen with some simple editing tools.
-one of the options is to save the photo . Save it.
-you now have a new photo that won't do that stupid auto flippy thing.

Hope this helps!

No previous owner fixed the lift keel. Currently getting some extra cruising mods with bimini etc

I had to buy a 360 degree camera for a project I am working on.
I ended up going with a Garmin Virb for the sensors. The inbuilt GPS is not common in 360 cameras weirdly, there is the Virb and a GoPro and thats near it till you get to commercial stuff. I definitely wanted an inbuilt GPS and accelerometer, so Virb it was..
Side bonus, I thought it wouldn't be bad to try it on the boat. I'd love a video recording of sail trim to go along with the GPS track recorded off the boat nav system. Both are time synched from GPS, so I am tinkering to make an ability to sit at home and playback a race on a dual window display showing the track and 360 video all automatically in synch.

With the camera properly positioned, it looks like I'll be able to see both sail telltales and from heads to feet using the 360 panning capability.
If I or a crew stuff up there's nowhere to hide, it'll all be captured in glorious surround video

Apologies ,it is a pretty crude, one of the rudimentary test videos I took just to test Youtube's 360 degree support, The good news was it was pretty painless to upload and the controls appears to interact pretty well. The compass rose at the top of the mast is a pretty neat trick.
I thought it might be of interest to some ie: ease, or difficulty, of use in panning etc watching it on Youtube.
For the pan/tilt controls, so far;
-- WASD works,
-- Left click and drag works,
-- funny llittle icon in top left corner works.
-- arrow buttons on your keyboard doesn't work .

This wasn't the highest res setting, but you should still be able to select up to 2160P in resolution in the Youtube video settings.
I hope it works and of interest!

Edit: Hmm....It sames to play quicker if I click on the title in the video while its loading. And there is no zoom.
Not quite there yet...

G'day Mad,
I really liked the concept and the app, I thought it was a great idea. It would be fun even among a few boats in a race, if you couldn't sucker everyone into it.
It'd be good for a laugh at the end of the day watching a playback in the bar at the club

A few clubs in SA have tried it but it was a bit boring and at least when i was looking over no one was watching it and there was no audible banter.

I need some more boat pics, the lack of sailing has me a bit twitchy. Any new photos of the Seabreeze fleet of late? This is the new 'nude' look, the vinyl on the hull sides was getting a bit ratty, so it was stripped and polished the gelcoat instead. I was going for another color but kinda like the all white look , so decided to leave it like this for the mo.

Any more pics of your ride ?
