This years OSTAR is under way. It's held every 4 years. The two handed series is racing at the same time this year. Tracker is here yb.tl/rwyc_transat2017

Yes I think it's two yachts sunk and one abandoned at the moment.

Been in communication with Kass. Both her and Zest holding up well

I think 2 solo teams , Mervyn Wheatley (losing Tamarind) and Keith Walton (losing Harmonii) with Mihail and Dian abandoning their Luffe 37.9 Furia.

I think Mervyn is now on the Queen Mary.

Must have got really bad.

Vento has had to pull into Halifax to sort out problems with the the tilting keel.

From my emails today

a pit stop for Venta perhaps, suspended racing ?

good luck to all those still racing and those making their way home

Christian is plugging on in Olbia, can you beat a SS34 in heavy weather to windward?

the new south westerly is strong too

David Southwood is hove to in Summerbird

Neil Payter is hove to in the Yamaha Solent 1

both with over 1600 to go, hard graft for another 48 hours
