Been washing this 2018 Riv and was curious on what this darlic is. After a Google turns out it's a forward vewing night vision camera .... It's only ajustible bow to the horizon maybe with a wide angle lens...I would love his tech on my yacht !

I was going to fit one to my boat last year as it is amazing what they can do. The problem on a yacht is where to mount it. If you mount it on your spreaders, you can only see the side it is mounted on and half a forward view as the sails shade it from the other side. They really need to be mounted where they get a 360 deg view.

Top of your mast jode5. Or on the pullpit. Imagine the wire run, wait till they bring out a wireless version in the future!

i think those radomes are actually for satellite TV:

i went past this beast a few days ago and was wondering what all the radomes were for (it has four large radomes on the lower spreaders and one smaller one higher up):

Just satellite tv to cabins. Approx 30k each.
I'm looking at the little darlic dome in the middle it's a Flir good technology that's getting cheaper and avalible for marine and land use.

Something like this may be better on a yacht, no need to mount it anywhere.

Also these come with downloadable app for night vision.

Both pretty handy options for night sailing.

At $5300 not including the MFD you would have to have a real need for this little toy. Or if money is no object and you really need to burn some then I'm sure that Flir can help you out there as well with the M500 at a paltry $245,343.00. All prices in Pacific Pesos.

Flir camera. Rotates 360 degrees.
Also can be synchronized with your radar. See a blip and on radar click on it and camera will turn and focus on it. Great at night. Can also lock onto target and follow. Can make urself a little dizzy if you spend to much time focused on screen while scanning camera around.
