So the squatter still isn't gone. He has been on board to close up when he'd previously left it open but he otherwise seems to disregard any directives.He is a complete slob.

This is is getting past ridiculous as I have swapped apparati (?) with a friend with identical boat to mine. Ie we have swapped locales all via proper channels, waiting lists etc. Essentially this now my apparatus and is set to be moved a small distance but for the dickhead who has taken up residence illegally.

He is lazy about bailing boat so I can only hope a down pour sinks the ****ter.

Time for knives out in the middle of the night I think. No witness, no camera record and the cops will go nowhere.

There is a lesson to be learnt here.
If this happens to you, don't say anything to anyone.
Try and find somewhere to park your boat.
Wait a day or 2, then go sink the F....r!!
Then wait another couple of days to call RMS about a sunk boat at your mooring, that you have just found when you wanted to hook back up to your mooring after a week away.

I think I would be moving him to the nearest public wharf then staying onboard until he turns up and then explain what he did and where his boat is

The Maritime boating officer fined him. He has that with in his powers apparently, which is worth knowing. I don't know how much the fine was but he threatened another fine to get him to move.

He was spinning a hard luck story to everyone. I told my mooring contractor (who coincidently got a call from the squatter to lay a mooring) to get payment up front.

Here endeth many weeks of hassle and my whinging.

Hard luck story.....he did realise he bought a boat didnt he. At least you have your mooring back
