As I have been looking at boats and read a few surveys I am a bit shocked at how cursory a lot of the surveys are considering they cost $700 and upwards not to mention the cost of pulling the boat out of the water. I haven't read one yet where the surveyor has used the moisture meter.Has anyone bought a moisture meter and used it to good effect? There are a few articles on moisture meters on the web but most seem to be used in cold climates where boats are often stored out of the water.

So I ended up getting a CT-33 from Noah's marine in Toronto. $226 Canadian including 10 to 15 business day delivery. Excellent fast communication and service too :).
