I will be following the Delos and their comments on the foul release product. In the meantime I am up for another haul out in April, so I have a clean bum for my intended trek up to the Whitsundays!
Im going to put a crazy idea out, in case someone else's has tried?
My thought was to try a couple of those chlorine floats with slow release chlorine tablets, tied to the front of the boat. With the intention of a Berley trail of chlorine down both sides of the hull, whilst on the swing mooring.
Any comments?

I think you will make table salt ......

You could try a hessian bag with oxalic acid crytals in it hung off the bow. Probably not too good for the environment though.

I would suggest trying to find out what antifoul system Van Den Heede used to win the Golden Globe. Watching the video of him finishing and the still photos show a boat hull that is pristine after 221 days. We know he used copper powder in the 3rd coat but I have not found out the base paint yet. I would have expected some advertising campaign to have surfaced from a major company by now!

I think he had the odd swim too but that topside and waterline on that yacht are really clean!

Know a bloke down here who has a boat bag and does pretty much exactly that. Puts a couple of chlorine tabs in a little burley pot once a fortnight or so, that gets tied to the boat bag and keeps the water inside bug free.

Not sure that it would work as well without the bag enclosing it though.

if it was clean he must have been scrubbing every chance he got . I,m guessing he would have had plenty of chances ...

andy59 might have some tips ? hes the only person on here that i know of that has done that trip ...
