Does anyone have a user manual for a TMQ Slimline Autopilot (circa 1992)?

Contacted TMQ who state they don't even have the manual archived.

Anyway, long shot but doesn't hurt to ask

TMQ usually have details / model numbers like AP4, AP46, AP47C etc. Any of those kind of details? I think from memory they brought out a slimline model a long while back then a slimline 2. The latter might be easier to find and at least close to what you're after.

Sorry, here's some photos.

It has a plug-in, corded remote control which I managed to get working with contact cleaner.

I have managed to hand-steer using the remote.

However, I cannot figure out how to set a compass course for her to self-steer.

It's similar to the AP4 where you select to "set", point the vessel the direction you want to go, then on the same selector dial click over to "auto" once happy with the direction. Adjusting course can be done with large dial on right or the remote. The rudder dial is the to compensate for walk, leeway or current etc whilst underway. Normally there is a readout to show heading but I assume this one doesn't have one. If the rudder dial or large dial has a pull out function you can use that to adjust the sensitivity of the rudder action and response of the autopilot.

They're a very robust and reliable autopilot without bells and whistles and while not always the most perfectly accurate I'd be very confident with reliability and durability in some solid weather. Mine put up with a hell of a lot and was still going strong after 20 plus years.
