OMG, you accelerate when the MOB is next to the boat! And there is every chance that each of those lines could wrap on the prop as well. The conditions are calm in the video, what could possibly go wrong in rough conditions?

I agree. How cold was that there? The girl might have been dressed to make it look more severe. Offshore in a heavy swell would have made a better video.

My thoughts exactly. There's going to be lots of difficulty in controlling the boatspeed and therefore the speed and forces being applied to the MOB, and there's double the chance of getting a rope around the prop. There's a detailed list of MOB incidents in the USA that show how often boats are disabled when trying to recover MOBs by lines around the prop, sometimes with fatal consequences.

It would also be interesting trying to get near the MOB with a drogue out to one side. It's going to play havoc with your boathandling at a time when you're under great stress already.

The use of the drogue to winch up the MOB seems a descendant ( or maybe the other way around) of the Single Handed MOB retrieval system that used the drogue to pull you back to the boat as your boat sailed away.
