In a northerly wind would there be any issues (if you don't come to close to Dart Point) anchoring in Honeymoon bay.
Granted you may be in trouble if a southerly blew up.

I always thought that Honeymoon Bay was too shallow for anything with a keel. I have anchored off longbeach just to the north in a northerly blow with no problems.

It is too shallow, that picture shows it at high tide, that small white patch in the middle is a rock that pokes out of the water at low tide. As kids we used to play 'king of the Rock' on that rock, I believe that kids still play it now.

Far too shallow to anchor there. I anchor off Long Beach in N - NE Winds with no problems. Be aware that the southern end of Long Beach is rather shallow.
Target Beach is also good in NE Winds; just don't get caught there in a Southerly.

Bushfire went through about a week ago. Might not be that attractive at the moment.

Dived in there and outside in the 70s, it's not deep enough for a keel yacht, Loosechange is spot on

Can't recall the name for the area circled. Usually too much swell through there for anchoring overnight. Good fishing there at Longnose. The old torpedo tubes too. The dive boats like to think they own that area!

Think I found it on an RMS chart, it was Boat Harbour I was referring to (red circle), Google maps has it as Honeymoon Bay

The arrow is Honeymoon Bay, the circle is Target beach. Google has it right, RMS is wrong.

I just had a look at Google Maps. the real Honeymoon Bay is not named at all and the area they have as Honeymoon Bay is actually Target Beach. I have sent a correction to Google.
