Mooring contractors can't move my yacht because of no mooring what can I do.
I have a mild Cerebral Palsy I can't get my yacht to retrieve it myself.

Any ideas please and thank you.

Not quite sure what you're after here...are you looking to have them move you from someone elses mooring to a new mooring for you? Or do you not have a new mooring and need to know what to do?

The RMS website www.rms.nsw.gov.au/maritime/moorings/private-moorings/index.html has recently been updated, so it's pretty good now, also I've found that the people who answer the phones on 13 12 36 (option 2) are pretty good, as are the people behind the desk at Rozelle (don't bother speaking about moorings with anyone at other service centres, they just don't know anything).

If it's any help, happy to jump on the phone to have a chat with you some time, rather than typing back and forth?

Ok, Just spoke with Sailor963,

His problems are many as his posts have shown.

First issue is he brought the boat and is not able to get aboard because of limitations due to his CP. Maritime are busting his chops as they don't want it to sink.

Anyone local who can swing by and drop a pump into it?

This guy needs some help, if not physical at least some local information

Maritime have not transferred the mooring to him as the boat is unkept, he needs to haul it and clean it up. Any suggestions as to where he can do that?

I am not aware of anywhere west of the bridge, in the harbour even, that would slip this boat without charging an arm and a leg. They would want to do the work on it I am sure.

Best to get it on a trailer but finding someone with a suitable trailer and willing to take their boat off it to pick up this one is a tough call.

Just had a thought, maybe a request to somewhere like Woolwich or Noakes who might put it in a corner as a goodwill gesture. Would it survive a tow that far.

Marine rescue might pump it and tow it as a training exercise, a donation may be required ?

NSW Marine rescue do not do salvage! NSW Maritime services will pump it out if they think it's a problem with fuel leaking but I would say in this case there is no fuel tank onboard. Best bet for the immediate future is for a local to volunteer to clear the cockpit drains and bucket the water out of the cabin. Topsides need an acid wash then the vessel would meet the Maritime Services requirements re tidy, presentable boat on a mooring.

Hello Sailor963. As just discussed on the phone if it's a case of getting the yacht into a suitable condition for Maritime to accept it as a tidy presentable boat and then they will transfer the mooring to you, the process as per Ramona's post above would be needed.
I have done this in the last 4 months with a yacht which was probably in a similar or maybe worse condition to yours.
Under Water Dive Services
www.underwaterdiveservices.com/
www.underwaterdiveservices.com/about-us/
were tasked to dive and scrape the very bad growth underwater. I cleaned the topsides and deck myself but it took many hours.
UWDS would be able to water blast the deck, cabin and cockpit and pump out all the water, clear the cockpit drains and do anything else needed.
I have no affiliation with UWDS - just know that they do a superb job.
