Hi Everyone,

I previously made up my own stainless steel lines for my handrail at home, so have the gear for swaging balaustrades. The question I have is whether anyone has any experience with using the hexagonal dies that come with the hydraulic swagers you can get off ebay to swage the oval ferrules used with the thimbles for safety lines?

I have used them for years as I am an electrician and a number of hydraulic crimpers and heaps of dies . It's just a matter of using the correct size dies and making sure the hydraulic crimpers have enough pressure to complete the crimp.

to do my inner stays. I have rope for my safety lines, out of convenience only. I use 5mm galvanised wire for my inner rigging (7x7 construction). Swaging is simple and reliable, cost-effective too.
