Toilet paper, can opener and one suit and shoes, in case you need to go somewhere that a suit is required.

Leave the suit !! Buy a couple of extra shorts instead, its all you will need.

Noooo... take the suit!

I take my Northern Territory 3 piece suit - singlet, shorts AND thongs!

Yep.. I would take a singlet for going out and the thongs in case of going somewhere fancy (or job interview)

Well I've been to the boat and of course had to go for a sail. The list of to do's seems endless. I had to have a very long think about the engine ,it's an old Volvo md11c runs like a watch, uses a bit of oil and occasionally over heats so I gave it a good flogging on Saturday and it ran perfectly BUT I don't trust it for long distance who knows where cruising. My new beta 25hp has been ordered , if any one would like my old one feel free to contact me , have a look and test run and make an offer( time donated to help is way better than money ) The list includes , new anchor chain ,tiller pilot, chain plates ,rewire most of the essential items and paint the deck with some form of anti slip paint ( any one used kiwi grip ).The rest is mainly for my comfort so it takes a back seat. I will put my progress up in the "what I did to my boat today section" once I start . Thanks again to all that replied and your advice has been great . A pic of when I lived on board last year
