If I could go back in time to the time I used Emerclad on my boat, I would give myself a severe talking to. It is easy to apply and cheap, but it lifts off, provides no extra protection for the surface, gets dirty, absorbs and oil spills too well. It can be hard to remove because it is impossible to sand. You can try thinners (I ended up using petrol) and it works - sort of. It took me weeks to het it off so I could put proper deck paint on my boat.

Put it on just before you sell. It will look good for a week or two. BUt it works well to stop you slipping and is non toxic. BUt I am much happier with two pack on my cat now - the emer clad always made her look cheap.

I just bought some more Kiwi grip last week to put on a couple of places I did not cover last time. Does Kiwi grip ever wear? The stuff I put down already looks like it will last forever.

Tread grip is the same as kiwi but not marketed at yachts so doesn't have yacht price. Has given excellent service on commercial vessels. Have primed aluminium, steel & epoxy with jotamastic before application. Can be mixed to any colour

Yip I've used emerclad on my boat and find it exactly the same as Kiwi grip but u get 20L for the same price as 500ml of Kiwi grip U need to put it on really thick and then let it dry a little bit and then roll it with a stibble roller if you need to remove it the best way I've found is to use a flappy disc on a grinder. It does stain quite easily from any oils including sunscreen and coconuts.
