Hi All,

After a couple of extra crew for Hillarys-Fremantle race this weekend on a Delphia 40.

1000 race start from Hillarys on Saturday. 1030 race start from Fremantle on Sunday. Boat will overnight at RPYC Challenger Harbour Annexe. Can do either way or both and can arrange pickup/drop off from Greenwood Station (closest to Hillarys).

Social crew, we are in it for fun. Weather looking great with a nice run downwind all the way home on Sunday.

Send me a message if you are interested.

Did you find anyone? If not, there is a good meetup group with lots of people looking for opportunities to go sailing:

What a blow. I haven't been on line for a couple of days. The first race is over and I have another job to do tomorrow. Give us a race report please.

A tough beat all the way in 20+kts on Saturday made for not a lot of fun. A few tactical errors saw us well out of contention.

Sunday started again in gusty 20+ and we got a cracking start for a fast reach to be in first place to the first turning buoy (not bad for a cruising boat). Nice run with the kite until a messy gybe saw it wrapped around the forestay. Two more kite sets ended when flogging caused the sheets to twist and then the snap shackles released. A few dramas with other boats did enable us to do a Bradbury and sneak a place on handicap though.
