I also need a sailing companion sailing ex Bundaberg between the Greats. Great Sandy Straits to Great Keppel Island on a magnificent Lotus 9.2.

Wife has declared that even though she rows in a scull 3 or 4 times a week on the Burnett River which is full of bull sharks, she will not go sailing with me because she is scared of being on the water.

Figure that one out.

I have solo sailed before and find it an antisocial behaviour. If one finds JOY why would not one share it????

I absolutely agree with this comment. It is why I went to great lengths to simplify yachting for my young kids so they would enjoy coming out sailing. Now I cant keep one of them away from the water

I would really like to sail inside the straights and visit the Keppels again. I went on the outside when I went past as I was a little too concerned about the depths and tides. I was only new to long distance cruising as well as getting use to a boat new to me.

I would've shot my hand up to volunteer cisco. I could've visited my folks in Hervey Bay along the way. Damn covid
