I have a Cole 19 with Swing keel that is giving me trouble because the cable to lift the keel has broken twice in the last 10 months. I suspect that the cable that was on the boat when I bought it is not ideal. Does anyone know the cable specification to connect the keel to the crank?
I am using 7mm one and it hasn't last much

Suggest you post this on the below site - should get an exact answer. Expect the issue is maybe more than the cable but also debris in the swing keel case which is overloading the cable when the lift action is activated. Or more issues - suggest look at all possible scenarios of cable breakage.
