I would consider this to be one of the primary safety issues on any sail boat, especially if one of the shrouds has broken strands. It is also a job that needs to be done by someone with the appropriate skills and experience. If you get this job wrong then you increase the chance of losing the mast over the side instead of decreasing it.
I had Elite Yachting Services (Mona Vale) replace all of the standing and running rigging while I was stuck at Pittwater during the Northern Beaches lockdown. Pete was fantastic and I learnt a tremendous amount about my boat and yacht design in general from him. I'm sure others will know of riggers in Sydney if you don't want to make the trip to Pittwater.
