The port engine was definitely still running. Big seaway for a ship of that size.

Because the helicopter crew deemed that winching them off the ship was too dangerous. Ship motion and obstructions are potentially lethal to the helicopter in a winching such as this.

We regularly got the people in the water to conduct the winching. Much safer.
