The council has kindly built a new floating jetty right near my mooring. I have checked the depth and it is 2.5m at the end.
Where is this jetty valo?? What tide was it when you checked the depth??
Right next to the boat ramp. Similar to the one at Croudace Bay boat ramp that went in a few years ago.
I always thought the lake at valo was tidal, contrary to everyone saying it isn't. I have since taken notice of the levels and the water level rises and falls over days, not hours. Due somewhat to tidal heights and wind. If it is a strong southerly the water will be up. Also king tides it will be up.
So, to answer your question

, I measured it with a surveyors staff when the water was lowish. IE I could see approx 500mm gravel along the shoreline.
This is the Croudace Bay one.
It is mainly used for people getting in and out of boats. So I will tie up on the off side during a weekday.
