I'm interested in buying a catamaran, a Venturer 3650 , not a sailing one but this one is a power cat, as I'm in NSW and can't get in to Qld to view the boat, I'm looking for someone to check it out and give me an idea of it's condition before I spend some money on a survey. I have chartered one of these so know what the boats are like and owner suggests boat needs some love and care, needs new electronics, upholstery, lower engine controls seized, engines done just over 4000 hours, so she needs some work.
Anyone here live near Newport Qld north of Brisbane interested in having a look or can anyone suggest a boat inspection business in that area.

Also any recommendations for a surveyor in the Brisbane area

About 2 years ago I used Barry Colson (0417 606 352) to survey my Cavalier 28 at Manly QLD. I'm not an expert, but I think he did a good job. He is based in Bribie Island. My address book also has Simon Lloyd Parker (0412 838 025), who was Plan B, but I did not get to use him.
