I was walking in Mooloolaba today and saw this beautiful ketch anchored in the bay.

She's a very impressive boat.
She looked to be a good size (50 foot plus?) and has inmast furling on both masts plus a cutter rig.

I would love to know more about it, anybody any info?
cheers

Hi Cockpit,
She could be the Orient Pearl, a Custom 90 that used to be out of NSW somewhere.
Nice toy!

Edit: scratch all that, didn't see Loose' post!

Yep a Schooner as Banana B said as the aft mast is bigger than the fore mast, I knew there was something different about it when I was looking but couldn't figure it...
She actually upped anchor and went down the channel into the marina area and we tried to follow on foot but when we arrived we couldn't find her...
Still, it's easy to lose a 100 foot plus boat in a small channel like that
Oh well, she WAS beautiful.

You would think she would be cutting it fine with the amount of water to get over that bar. Somehow the longliner Esbjorn which apparently draws 13 feet gets through. On an old wooden yacht like that one you wouldn't really want to be pounding the bottom to hard would you?

She's in Yamba at the moment, and makes all the other vessels look, insignificant.

Yes she overtook me [in Seaka] just inside the walls. She went to the marina near Sea World,
