Hi all , I need replace my old teak toe rail and I want to use alloy, however and the only supplier I have found is in QLD at either $594 or $800 , depending on profile per 6m length plus shipping, I can special order it straight from a aluminium manufacturer in Sydney and they said about $150 per 8 m length. (This was a rough price, they would need to quote it up) but the issue is I would need order about 30 lengths minimum for them to do a extrusion run .
If there are others who are interested it may be worthwhile. I am not worried if all 30 lengths are not taken, as it could still work out way cheaper and I could sell the remaining over time.

Alternatively if anyone knows of another supplier I could buy it from at a more reasonable price, I am interested.

Hi 2bish, hopefully I have successfully posted a pic of the profile below, The size is 60/33 x 41.28 .
I suspect it may be clear anodised by default as other stock extrusions I have purchased in the past from them have been but I didn't go into that much detail when I was on the phone as I didn't need 30 lengths and it was only afterward I thought about seeing if there was any interest from others. The sales person did offer to do me a fomal quote but I didn't want to waste their time, gicven i dont need that amount I just stuck with her estimate.

I do know you can order other coatings also such as powder coating , but I think anodising would be the way to go but possibly black anodised may be a option , but as I suspect the whole lot would need to be the same everyone would have to agree.

The other thing I would need to confirm is, if it included punching, if not that would add cost , but I wouldn't expect that much per length . If there is interest I will get a formal quote.

Hi Craig I have tried Ullrich, they have no stock in Aus and it's made in NZ . They said if its in stock in NZ they can get it but if it's not in stock its a similar deal , you have to order 250kgs of it to get any made . I have been waiting a week for them to let me know if there is any stock in NZ as 250kg plus shipping to Aus I think would rule it out.

250kg of sea freight might not be that expensive to be honest. Worth asking for an estimated price. Might be a few hundred dollars. (We ship chemicals in full containers so it might be more expensive than I think)
