The Antikythera mechanism is pretty famous and i am sure most of you have read or seen something about it.
On the following youtube vids a bloke records what it takes (took) to actually make it.
The camera work is fantastic and the narration is NOT the, "Will he succeed, or will or of his work be in vain?". cliffhanger stuff that I hate.
