I wonder how it happened??????

A lot of the smaller Bertrams have petrol engines. It's not mentioned in our pathetic media coverage whether the boat was being refueled with either diesel or petrol! I'm guessing petrol and not much common sense going on here. Even with diesel refueling the rules are now to clear the people and block off access to the wharf in NSW.

Yeah oath im guessing your right with your speculation mate. I owned a 25 berty for two weeks and the tanks were rooted and leaked bad. If this one was the same they may have had some fuel in the bilge when it exploded.

Yes, didn't he have his head screwed on. Tilting the outboard to spray water over the boat was excellent thinking.
