No Steve dont live at Elvina Bay but would like to. Top spot. South - That tank at the top was the hot water tank. The previous owner who actually built the boat installed it intending heating by the engine heat exchanger but didnt finish the job.

After I put in the new engine (Second new engine. The first one I bought from a place called Fenquins who said it was reconditioned. Actually it wasnt reconditioned, they only painted a crook one green as I discovered. They made a tactical error because when I took out the engine after trying to start it for weeks I and took it down them with a mates ute to tell them it wouldnt start a dud their machanic looked at it first. He didnt know I bought it from them. The next day he told me the motor was &%&^( and they quoted $2000 to rebuild it!!!! When it was supposedly reconditioned already). Fenquins were full on con artists. My solicitor said it wasnt worth suing them because though we would win they might not have any money to give me back. But they did it to someone else for a $20K motor, who did sue them and won. I met him through an advert in Afloat. Im still annoyed at paying $3000 for a repainted crook engine. Anyway another story! I tried to get the hot water going going but getting fittings etc was too hard to I put in a 12V Caravan one - with a 30 minute timer so its 20A wouldnt kill the batteries. Works fine.

The next part was really funny. After the 12V water heater was installed and the water pressure system installed the big moment came to turn on all the power. Bingo a through boat water sprinkling system Just like in the Botanic Gardens. The 2 ft of seawater that was in the boat when I bought it was also mixed with battery acid. All the copper piping from the galley to the aft cabin had pin holes eaten through every where. Replacing all that was yet another job!

Thanks HG, knew about Chromecast but didn't know you could project a tablet screen via it's micro-USB port - can be very useful, thanks for that.

This story with Fenquins still surprises me as l have a Vetus engine and Fenquins are the reps for Vetus-Maxwell in Sydney. I buy my parts from them.
I remember we talked about it last time. It is a pity you did not squeeze their balls for it. They would have deserved a big kick, for sure.
Ruining an international companies good name? Wonder what Vetus-Maxwell would say about it?
The new motor was running fine last time l saw it. Is it still ok, l guess?
