....wow....and I question if I'm competent/capable enough to sail single handed.....

(Yes I know dinghy vs yacht, specially set up for it, etc, etc. My point still stands)

I sailed one of them on Lake Taupo in NZ about 15 years ago. They are lots of fun. They are essentially mini 12 Metres.

I was on the paralympic sailing squad for a while, great fun boats to sail in flat water but scared the living s**t out of me in a 25 knot Freo Doctor, especially downhill when green water comes into the cockpit and the pump can't keep up!!

Also bloody expensive, upwards of $20k for a new boat!!

I saw one for sale last week St Kilda on the hard for $5k.
