Here are some of my tools that I have found useful for sail making.

I bought the electrician's pouch because I was annoyed at misplacing my tools in my living room/sail loft.

Thank you Landyacht for the awl.

Ben.

Wish I could be that disciplined while sewing mate!!!!
Only time I can locate a pair of my 4 pairs of scissors, is a week after I needed them.

Great idea. I'll have to work towards it.

I cut 30mm wide rings of storm water and down pipe and do 1 cut to open them these are then used to hold the sail rolled up whilst fitting through the arm of the machine . awls are just whatever dead screwdrivers i find

I use a soldering bolt with a sharpened point as a hot knife to cut out panels and for making tiny holes. I also use a 3mm fibre for drawning curves on cloth.

What's up Chook?
Is it your dress that needs ironing, or have you run out of make-up?

I can get Anna to cobble up an Avon rescue package for you if you need it.....

I'll have her number on speed dial in case it all goes pear shaped mate.

PS; I used your idea of the PVC rings landyacht and it makes life much easier. It protects the monofilm from creases really well.
