
Here is what is left of what I think you are talking about My attempt at front sprung forks years ago on my class 5
The idea at the time was to try and stop the front wheel hop on the turns which made for bad steering and some rather exciting
episodes which at times were dangerous The spring elements were made up of carbon sailbatten parts and the damping was
done by adjustable friction on the pivots [ not shown] It worked ok as a sprung front end but it did not improve the wheel skipping that much and it was removed when the yacht was converted to a fatter front wheel as a further experiment to deal with
the turning problem Yacht was sold before I tested that theory unfortunately and new owner preferred the original skinny spoked Bmx wheel mainly for its cooler looks I think
