new to perth

Hey everyone how are things, i have not long arrived in to perth from the uk and also still a novice to kiting i have a 3m pkd and just getting use to skudding and face planting, any hoo's is there any were around south perth were is suitable for kiting as i live in ferndale.

Hi Mrbeardie,

By Skudding I presume you mean beach surfing with bare feet? If thats the case, there is no where near South Perth. You'll need to go to the ocean and the closest place will be Leighton or Cottesloe.

For general kiting, you can kite at Melville in a Sou Westerly or Point Walter in a Nor Easterly. You can also go to Pelican Point but not adviseable as crowded and dangerous, no beach and too close to general public walking tracks.

A lot of the beaches you are interested in are fairly sensitive to yahooing and I highly advise that you should take structured lessons with a professional school so as not to tick off all the locals.
