hey lads just bought literally yesterday kite gear from a mate that had to fly home to Denmark. I`ve got no experience so far in this sport, but would love to learned. Could you recommend a school in Perth or you might have a mate that want to earn some pocket money for teaching me the first steps in this sport ?
cheers josh

CAn't recommed lessons strongly enough. Every now and then you see people who haven't had lessons doing things while self teaching that are scary dangerous.

Action Sports in Balcatta have a great reputation. Scan the forums, there are a few schools that have terrible reputations and should be avoided.

Pretty sure action sports were looking for some newbies to work on some training for the school
So would be worth checking out, a school that does one on one ratios as standard imho is a good start also,

Cant agree more with this. I actually learned with them they never taught me how to launch the kite.. they just taught me how to fly it and attempts to get on the board.

But they never let me or taught me how to launch kite. So after lessons were done and I got my own kite... I had a kitemare because guess what.. I screwed up the launch.

I did my lessons with Action Sports WA kite school, they have a really comprehensive program and teach you everything in a logical progression, including applied self-rescue. I highly recommend them :)

Hi josh, If WA action sports doesnt work out, then try perthkitesurfingschool in fremantle. Niel, Jason and Michael really nice guys. Did not do a course with them, but bought a used kite from them while visiting WA earlier this year. I saw them teach at woodmans. Very good.
Either way - take the real course.
