The park is located in Baldivis I think.

Their website (perthwakepark.com.au/) is going live this tuesday and they are selling a limited number of annual memberships. From there the first few weeks of the park being open is exclusively for annual membership holders only and then the park is open to plebs a few weeks later.

This was the info that came through in the FB group anyway.. If you want accurate info (cause my memory SUCKS) just lookup Perth Wake Park on facebook and you can get the details there

I've been lucky enough to be doing some "quality assurance testing" of the system for a few weeks now while finishing off the last of the jobs prior to opening to the public. The website should go live today allowing you to purchase a limited number of season passes to get exclusive use of the park for 2 weeks before opening to the public. You'll have to stump up the cash today to get your pass. Trust me it's well worth it. It's been a long time coming and the guys have done a fantastic job.

The same blokes that own 5 kites and 3 boards bitching about $1600. If you haven't got the dosh or don't plan on going enough to justify it cool but the rate for a season pass is the going rate and it's fair. Penrith for example is like $1300 for 9 months.

Perth isn't the Philippines. Last time I checked you can't pay your staff $2 a day here. You wouldn't get too many nights out in Perth for $1600 but I know where I'd rather spend my money.

Come check it out and have a go before you decide for yourself.

By working onsite nearly every Saturday since May. I really admire what the guys have done and I love riding cable...

Bummer you haven't got the cash to splash out on a pass but we'll see you down there soon.

If you love your cable and head down 2 to 3 times a month.

It's less than 50 bucks a ses.

And if you ride twice a week it's less than $16 a session so if you're a keen rider it's great value.

I've seen lots of kiteboards at the park lately. Everyone seems to be really stoked on the setup. Definitely getting my money's worth!

Bit of a thread revival but I was riding my kiteboard at PWP over the weekend and it made me think of this thread. My Watson Hybrid was in in for repair after shorting a rooftop transfer so I took my Tona Flow out for a ride for a laugh. It goes surprisingly well. The ricker line ins't bad and the flex is about right for cable. It's maybe a bit soft between the boots and flat landings are a harsher than by cable board but it's pretty good. All in all, I'd rather be on my cable board but it worked well enough and is tough enough for slider hits for sure.

I've seen lots of kiters down there lately. It's cold and windless (mostly) at the moment so it's ideal for cable. Put in my pre-order today for 2016 LF Peak and Ultras too. See you down there.

+1 for wake park ended up getting a winter pass definitely exceeded my expectations. My first session it took me so long to have the balls to throw a raley, ended up just edging for ages before releasing surprisingly went well until I reached the corner....

has certainly put the validity of my basic 'railey' into question. teaches a thing or two about what these tricks are really supposed to be. hopefully by summer the cable will have made my version a bit more legit.

All manufactures seemed to have been hard at work developing the PRICE. Everything has gone up. Those are very different boards. The peak is the stiffest. The Tao is nice but too flexy for me. The raph is too flat and lacks channels but everyone likes something different. I ride a 2015 Watson Hybrid 143. I ordered a 2016 Peak 145 for next year.

Demo as always.
