Never heard of an individual person making them - they're machine manufactured with super high tensile strength, high quality materials, manufactured with stringent QA/QC processes to ensure a good product.
Given the dangers of kiting, especially if a line breaks, I'd never puchase a line constructed by some backyard hack.
I'll only ever go with trusted / reputible suppliers for gear that you health / life could depend on . . .

Best quality I've come across are flexifoil, they do plenty of length options, ozone also, pirate lines I think manufacture stock length but also custom lengths

Thanks Cauncy and Danno

Danno, I'll assume your not associating back yard hacks with Neil (Hold the Line), I’m confident that wasn’t your intention.

Cheers for replies Gents

Yeah, bulk manufactured but you can buy rolls if several hundred meters and make your own to length. There are a few guys ebay and one on Facebook who do it, who are legit... But can't rememebr the links. kiteboarding.com does PKS lines in any length... cutting and sleeping isn't rocket science.
