Hey friends!

Does anyone know if there is any restriction to go kiting around and land a kite on Penguin Island?
Taking that you launch from the park on the shore facing the island.

Cheers!

To have a look around, I've never been there.

From WAKSA website...

Safety Bay - Shoalwater/Penguin Island
- A kite school operates downwind of the ferry jetty. Experienced kiters should maintain a safe distance from learners.
- Rig, launch & land downwind of the school.
- Penguin Island attracts a large number of tourists please maintain appropriate safe distances from all other beach users.
- Keep a safe distance from people wading across the sand bar to Penguin Island.
- Due to the presence of bird nesting sites please do not kite in/near areas adjacent to Penguin & Seal Islands as marked.

Shoalwater Bay is a Marine Park and the island is a nesting place for a lot of birds and penguins. If you want to explore the island please take the ferry or just wade over the sand bank and enjoy ;-). No landing on seal island either. This will ensure kiting at our local won't be banned. Thanks
