Can anyone help......
I have had 2 lessons over the last 18 months, both quite a long way apart.
As a result i have not progressed much. I have just moved to freo from tassie and am wondering if there are any female instructors over here. It has been suggested they may suit my style (none!) better than the male instructors....
Any help most appreciated as the weather is drawing me to the water and I would like to go with my kite without being a danger to everyone on the water

I think you can get carry away with the lessons, I only had the one (for safety and basic kite skills) I then just went out as much as I could and practiced. The best advice you can get is from the Kiters already there and they will give it for FREE..

Don't rush trying to get on the board, that will come, Fly the Kite and body drag. Practice sitting back in the water (like sitting in a chair) then power dive the kite and let it pull you up and over, keep repeating this, this is the first step to getting up onto the board. Get the Progression DVDS these help you no end..

don't listen to this ****ing muppet . Go and get some lessons for yourself and other water users out there . last thing i want is some out of control idiot who thought saving some money was ok when it came to safety .

Thanks for the info guys. As much as I have the basics for me it is a confidence thing and I will feel a lot happier if I have at least 1 more lesson. The expense is well spent I think and having come from a sailing background with membership fees and the cost of buying and maintaing a boat... not to mention the bar bills afterwards a few hundred dollars on a lesson will go a long way. Miffer I appreciate your point and regular practice is certainly the thing I have been missing. Hopefully this summer will fix that and I won't get in anyones way.

Hi Pip,

I too am from a sailing background originally and you should progress well. The theory is the same, just in 3D.

We have two female instructors whom are both very good, Tamlin and Cristiana. Either would be stoked to get you up and going safely.

We hope to see you at the beach soon
